Nutrisystem Success Story Ann Stack never had trouble losing weight. After her second pregnancy, she dropped 60 pounds doing what she calls the “starve yourself and workout diet.” The challenge for the mother of two always came after the weight loss.

“In 2011, I went through a divorce. Being a full-time working mom under stress, I started to gain weight,” Ann says. “When I reached 184 pounds, I went back to working out like a mad woman and starving myself and lost a lot of weight. However, I didn’t change my habits and continued yo-yo-ing up and down.”

Prior to Nutrisystem, Ann struggled with keeping the weight off.

When Stack saw the photos for her family’s 2015 Christmas card, she was “shocked” at how she looked and decided to try the Nutrisystem weight loss program.

“At first I thought, I must be nuts to start this at the beginning of the holiday season,” she recalls, “but then I thought that if I could be successful during the hardest time of year, I could be successful anytime so I tried it.”

“I lost six pounds the first week* and then slowly, but steadily, continued losing the weight—despite all of my holiday baking,” Ann says.

The five-foot-four-inch mother gradually dropped 27 pounds over the next 12 months* and her pants size went from a size 10 to a size four.

“I surpassed my goal weight and felt fantastic,” the now success story says.

Despite reaching her weight loss goal in the past, keeping the weight off was always a challenge for Ann.

“In the past, as soon as I reached my goal, I’d revert back to my old ways and put weight back on. I have been a yo-yo dieter most of my adult life,” she says. “This time, I wanted to stay focused. I didn’t want to continue my bad habits, especially now that my daughter is old enough to mimic my habits.”

Ann is proud to say that she is no longer a “yo-yo dieter.”

To overcome this challenge, Ann signed up for the Nutrisystem Success plan, which allows her to keep eating all of her favorite foods.

“I order Nutrisystem items because I love them and they work for my busy schedule,” she says. “I enjoy muffins for breakfast and I especially love the hamburgers and pizza melts for lunch.”

A Residential Portfolio Manager with a three-hour commute, Ann had long struggled to avoid unhealthy meals on-the-go. Now she relies on Nutrisystem meals and snacks to keep her energy up through long days.

“The breakfast bars and lunch bars are very convenient for my work week. I pack everything in my purse,” she says.

The organized set of containers included in the plan are helping Ann stay on track, too.

“One of my mistakes was over-consumption of almonds—a favorite,” she says. “Using the white [PowerFuels] container to put my almonds in, I saw how I’d been eating almost twice as much as I should have.”

Ann makes lots of Flex meals for herself and her family these days, including their favorite, orange chicken wraps.

“I’m taking the learning tools and resources I’ve been given from Nutrisystem and easing back into meals on my own,” she says.

In the year since she started her Nutrisystem Success plan, Ann says her weight hasn’t changed, and she feels like she has rediscovered her energy. She has always enjoyed kickboxing and running, but now she says her knees and back feel better than they have in years. Along the way, Ann learned a few things about herself.

“Stopping a diet cold turkey gives you a higher chance of reverting to bad habits,” she says. “After all my hard work to lose the weight, I wanted to make this time different. I wanted to break my yo-yo diet habits. I now feel like I’ve got my groove back!”
